About Meet Your Matches

For people who save the little things.

Meet Your Matches began with a simple fascination: the tiny paper souvenirs people were never meant to keep. For decades, matchbooks quietly documented where we'd been, favorite restaurants, neighborhood bars, grand hotels, roadside diners, and celebrations worth remembering. Long before branded tote bags or souvenir sweatshirts, they were pocket-sized keepsakes that traveled home with us.

What started as a personal collection quickly grew into something much larger.

Founded by Philadelphia-based collector and designer Tessa York, Meet Your Matches was created to celebrate the art, history, and culture of matchbooks. In its early years, the brand became known for original artwork inspired by vintage matchbooks, introducing a new audience to these overlooked pieces of design history.

Over time, Meet Your Matches evolved from an art studio into a destination for collectors. Today you'll find original matchbox collections, one-of-a-kind vintage matchbooks and ephemera, thoughtfully sourced collectibles, and Match Stash, our limited-edition collector mail club designed for people who still believe the best souvenirs fit in the palm of your hand.

Everything is selected or designed with the same philosophy: preserve the stories, celebrate great design, and make everyday objects feel worth saving again.

Many pieces are produced in small batches, while our vintage finds are truly one of a kind. Whether you're discovering your first matchbook or adding to a collection you've built for years, we hope every order feels a little like opening a box of memories.

Meet Tessa

Before launching Meet Your Matches, Tessa spent more than a decade as a retail buyer and merchant for global brands including Nike, Gap, Kate Spade, GAP,  and fashion subscription start up, Le Tote,  where she developed products, built assortments, and searched the world for objects people would love to bring home.

That background continues to shape Meet Your Matches today, combining thoughtful merchandising with a collector's eye and a deep appreciation for design history. Her work has been featured by retailers including Anthropologie, Assouline, and Moda Operandi, and she's been recognized by The Philadelphia Inquirer as "Philadelphia's foremost matchbook aficionado."

Today, Tessa continues to design original collections, hunt for forgotten treasures, and share the stories behind the objects that most people overlook. Because sometimes the smallest souvenirs end up holding the biggest memories.
